Ima would give anything to escape The Dome and learn what’s beyond its barriers, but the Chicago government has kept all its citizens on lockdown ever since the Scorched Years left most of the world a desert wasteland. When a mysterious group of hooded figures enters the city unexpectedly, Ima uncovers a plot to destroy The Dome and is given the choice between escaping to a new, dangerous city or staying behind and fighting a battle she can never win.

What if you found that you were a real person living in a "fake" world? Would you freak? Would be okay? What if you found out that your life was going to end if you didn't do something about it. Personally I would be freaking out. I wouldn't know what to do. I don't think I would have the courage. I would be sitting in the corner of the room, crying for my mother.

Ima, I have to give props for the type of female role that she portrays throughout this book. She is struggling but she doesn't show signs of giving up. She is a girl that soon becomes a woman by the end of this page. She makes mistakes but who doesn't. We live and learn. We look at the past to pave the future.

The plot was one of the things that grabbed my attention. Having this girl realize that the world she was living in, was just a created world for one purpose. How she is able to escape and change her life completely but still doesn't forget about her old life and friends. I felt her every move throughout the words that followed page after page.

Filled with action, love, some scences that may not be suitable for minors. This book is one that comes with an intense plot that will leave you breathless and wanting more. I recommend this book to people wanting a book that will have you on your toes.

I give this book 4 souls!
